Acts 22

Theme of chapter: Paul, in Jerusalem, is grabbed and beaten by the Jews. A Roman guard intervenes, and allows Paul to address the mob. That didn't go over well with the blood thirsty Jewish leaders.

Most important verse: Acts 22:18 And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.

Most prominent word: Just One (right; righteous; )

Teaching about Christ: Christ is the only just one there ever was.

Command to obey: believe on Christ and be baptized

Promise to claim: God has a plan and purpose for all his children.

New truth learned: Paul was bilingual. He could speak Greek to the Romans and Hebrew to the Jews. This astonished the chief captain that he could speak in his language. Paul gave his testimony of Christ to the Jews and they sought to kill him, just as they did Christ.
