1 Samuel 21

Theme of chapter: David flees to Nob in fear of Saul

Most important verse: 1 Samuel 21:6 So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.

Most prominent word: hallowed(holy or sacred thing)

Teaching about Christ: Christ is holy.

Command to obey: Do what is right in God's eyes, not mans.

Promise to claim: The Lord protects his children.

New truth learned: David ate the show bread even though it was sacred bread dedicated to God. It was needed so it was used. The lesson is to be practical about giving and helping someone in need.
