Theme of chapter: God remarks about the land of Israel being cursed unto this day and the people of Israel are scattered around the world.
25Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt: (that land is desolate and full of rocks today, it doesn't get much rain and therefore doesn't grow much)
Most prominent word: covenant (treaty; compact; agreement)
Teaching about Christ: When Christ comes back the land will be restored and the people of Israel will be back in the land.Command to obey: worship the Lord daily, and be thankful for the blessings you have.
New truth learned: The people of Israel always tended to stray and worship idols, back in that day, made of wood and stone. It seems ridiculous in our present age, but we have much more sophisticated idols these days.
