Theme of chapter: God gives us his good neighbor policy. He also gives his ruling on adultery and rape.
Most important verse: Deuteronomy 22:
1 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother. (Jesus summed it up by saying, love your neighbor as yourself)

Teaching about Christ: Jesus cares about every part of our life. How we treat others, how we treat animals, how we should take safety precautions when building houses, etc. He gets right down to where we live each day.
Command to obey: Love your neighbor as yourself. Do not commit adultery.
Promise to claim: Judgement comes to the unrepentant sinner.
New truth learned: Under the law, adulterers and rapist were stoned.
