Deuteronomy 34

Theme of chapter: God takes Moses up into a mountain and shows him the promised land. Moses dies and is buried.

Most important verse: Deuteronomy 34:10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,(God spoke to Moses directly)

Most prominent word: sepulchre(tomb; grave)

Teaching about Christ: the rock represented Christ that Moses struck, that caused him to not be able to enter the promised land, as God told him to speak to the rock, no strike it. His disobedience disallowed his entry into Canaan.

Command to obey: Be a servant.

Promise to claim: The promised land is a huge amount of land, that Israel will reclaim in the latter days.

New truth learned: Moses died at age 120 and the whereabouts of his tomb are unknown.
